Pantidy operates:

• A subscription-based mobile application

Access to paid features requires an active subscription.

Certain features of the Service require data processing, including cloud synchronization and analytics. By using the Service, you acknowledge that these functions are essential to its operation.

Features and functionality of the Service may change over time, including the addition, removal, or modification of features.

Pantidy may offer a guest mode that allows use of the Service without creating a full account.

• Guest data is stored locally on the device only
• Guest data is not backed up to cloud storage
• Deleting the app may result in permanent loss of guest data

Guest data will not transfer over to a full account.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Pantidy is offered exclusively through paid subscriptions.

• Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Subscription validation and entitlement management are handled by RevenueCat.
• Pantidy does not store full payment card information.

Subscription terms, including pricing, billing intervals, free trials (if offered), and renewal details, are disclosed at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through your app store account before the renewal date.

All billing, cancellation, and refund requests must be handled through the applicable app store.

If your subscription expires or is canceled, access to paid features may be suspended.

5. User Content & Imported Content

You retain ownership of any pantry data, recipes, notes, or other content you enter into Pantidy (“User Content”).

By using the Service, you grant Pantidy a limited, non-exclusive right to process such User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service’s functionality.

Imported Recipe Content

Pantidy allows users to save recipe links and ingredient lists for personal use. Full recipe instructions remain the property of their respective owners and should be viewed on the original website.

Users acknowledge and agree that:

• Imported content originates from third-party websites not owned or controlled by Pantidy.
• Pantidy does not claim ownership of imported recipe content.
• Imported content is stored locally on the user’s device unless otherwise stated.
• Pantidy does not host, publish, or publicly redistribute full third-party recipe content.
• When users share a recipe through the Service, only the original source URL is shared.
• Recipes saved through the import feature are for personal, non-commercial use only.
• Imported content may include audio, video, or social media content
• Such content may be transcribed using third-party services
• Transcribed content may be processed using artificial intelligence (AI) to extract structured recipe data
• AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading and should not be relied upon without independent verification.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their use of third-party content complies with applicable laws and the terms of the original publisher.

Pantidy acts solely as a personal organization tool and does not act as a publisher of third-party recipe content.

Pantidy does not claim ownership of third-party product information retrieved through barcode lookup services.

Pantidy uses third-party services, including SupaData (for transcription) and OpenAI (ChatGPT) for processing and structuring recipe data. By using the import feature, you consent to the transmission of content to these services for processing.

Data Processing and Service Functionality

You acknowledge and agree that Pantidy may process, normalize, structure, and update User Content as necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Synchronizing data between local device storage and cloud storage systems
• Improving the accuracy and consistency of pantry item information
• Enhancing product metadata such as names, categories, or nutritional details
• Updating or refining barcode-matched product information using available data sources
• Performing technical corrections required for proper system functionality

These processes are part of the core functionality of the Service and may occur automatically in the background.

Pantidy does not modify user-entered intent (such as quantities, user notes, or personal preferences) except where required for technical operation, error correction, or system consistency.

Pantidy may use third-party services and internal systems to support these functions as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Third-Party Services & Product Data

Pantidy relies on third-party service providers to operate certain features of the Service.

Certain features of the Service utilize artificial intelligence to process and organize content.

These may include:

• Authentication providers (such as Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In)
• App store platforms (Apple App Store and Google Play Store) for billing and subscription management
• RevenueCat for subscription validation and entitlement management
• Firebase for analytics, crash reporting, and backend services
• Open Food Facts for barcode-based product information lookup
• SupaData (media transcription services)
• OpenAI (AI-based data processing and structuring)
• USDA FoodData Central (nutrition and food data)

Pantidy does not control these third-party services and is not responsible for:

• Service interruptions or outages
• Data inaccuracies provided by third parties
• Changes in functionality, pricing, or availability
• Policies or practices of third-party providers

Your use of third-party services may also be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

Pantidy is not responsible for the accuracy, reliability, or outputs generated by artificial intelligence or transcription services.

You agree not to use the Service to scrape, extract, or systematically collect data beyond normal personal use.

Responsible Use of Third-Party Data

Users agree not to:

• Attempt to scrape, bulk extract, or systematically download product data
• Use automated tools outside the normal intended use of the Service
• Circumvent any technical limitations or rate controls implemented by Pantidy

Pantidy may implement caching, rate limiting, or other safeguards to ensure compliance with third-party service requirements.

Third-Party Website Content

Pantidy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by third-party recipe websites from which users may import content.

Pantidy is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, legality, or intellectual property status of third-party website content.

Open Food Facts Data

Pantidy is in the process of discontinuing the use of Open Food Facts data. Legacy data may still exist temporarily and is being actively removed or replaced.

Pantidy has previously retrieved product information from Open Food Facts(https://openfoodfacts.org), a collaborative, open database of food products.

Product data provided by Open Food Facts is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). Open Food Facts data is contributed and maintained by a global community of volunteers.

Pantidy:

• Does not claim ownership of Open Food Facts data
• Makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of such data
• Displays Open Food Facts data solely for informational purposes

Users acknowledge that:

• Product information retrieved via barcode scanning may originate from Open Food Facts
• Open Food Facts data is publicly available and governed by the Open Database License
• Pantidy may transmit barcode numbers to Open Food Facts in order to retrieve product information

If Pantidy enables users to submit product data for contribution to Open Food Facts:

• Such submissions may be transmitted to Open Food Facts
• Submitted information may become publicly available under the Open Database License
• Users represent that they have the right to submit the content and that the information is accurate to the best of their knowledge

Pantidy is not responsible for how Open Food Facts stores, publishes, or processes user-contributed data once transmitted.

Certain Open Food Facts data displayed within the Service may remain subject to open database licensing terms, including requirements related to attribution and share-alike provisions.

USDA FoodData Central

Pantidy may retrieve food and nutrition information from the USDA FoodData Central database.

Pantidy:

• Does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of nutritional data
• Does not provide medical, dietary, or health advice
• Provides such data for informational purposes only

Users should verify nutritional information independently before relying on it.

7. Data Storage & Data Loss

Pantidy stores user data both locally on your device and, for authenticated users, in cloud storage using Firebase Firestore to enable backup and synchronization across devices.

While Pantidy takes reasonable measures to protect data, you acknowledge that:

• Data stored locally may be lost if you uninstall the app or lose access to your device
• Cloud-stored data may be subject to service interruptions or technical issues
• Pantidy does not guarantee permanent data retention, availability, or recovery of any user data.

Pantidy is not responsible for lost, corrupted, or unrecoverable data.

• Pricing data may be user-entered or inferred and may not reflect actual market prices
• Prices may vary by store, location, and time
• Pantidy does not guarantee pricing accuracy or savings outcomes

Pantidy does not provide financial or purchasing advice and does not guarantee that users will achieve any specific savings through use of the Service.
