Quickstart

Welcome to your Smart Pantry — Pantidy

Get started in under 5 minutes!

Sign in (or jump in as a guest)

Apple or Google sign-in keeps your data backed up across devices.

Continue without signing in is a demo with previously setup pantry so you can explore — nothing is saved.

Stock your pantry

Three ways to add items, ranked by speed:

Scan a barcode — Pantry → tap the barcode icon → point at any product. Auto-fills name, category, and nutrition.

Scan a receipt — Pantry → tap the receipt icon → photograph your grocery receipt. Pantidy extracts every line, then you review before adding.

Add manually — Pantry → tap the + button → type the name. Useful for produce, bulk bins, or anything without a barcode.

We recommend adding 5-10 items for the best experience!

Add Your Recipes

Bookmark recipes that you’ve been meaning to cook online by tapping SharePantidy. Don’t worry, we’ll link back to the original recipe so you can easily reference back.

Import family recipes easily by snapping a photo. Just tap the Recipes tab → tap the camera icon → snap a photo

Paste recipes from your notes by tapping the Recipes tab → tap the clipboard icon → follow the instructions to paste your notes

Build your own by tapping the Recipes tab → the + button

Build your shopping list

Open any recipe → tap Add Missing to Shopping List.

The Shopping List tab also accepts manual additions and estimates total cost based on prior purchases.

AI Chef has a monthly generation limit — see your remaining runs at the top of the sheet.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of Pantidy

Spend 15 minutes on day one

The single biggest predictor of sticking with Pantidy is getting past 10 items. After that, the recipe suggestions start to feel personalized and the dashboard becomes useful. Suggested first-day actions:

  1. Stock the fridge: walk through the fridge and scan barcodes
  2. Stock the pantry: scan or snap a recent grocery receipt
  3. Save 2–3 recipes you actually cook regularly
  4. Turn on the daily 5 AM expiring-items reminder

Make it a weekly habit

  • Sunday: Plan the week in Meal Planner. Pantidy turns the plan into a shopping list automatically.
  • After every shop: Scan the receipt. 30 seconds of scanning beats 20 minutes of typing.
  • After cooking: Tap “Cooked and Served” so the pantry decrements correctly.
  • Once a week: Check the Dashboard’s at-risk panel and use AI Chef to use up what’s expiring.

Power moves

  • Share recipes to Pantidy from Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube — opens directly into the import flow.
  • Multi-batch tracking lets you separately track an opened jar and an unopened backup of the same product.
  • Custom categories in Settings → Manage Lists make the pantry view fit how your kitchen is organised.
  • Meal plan + leftovers — after cooking, save the leftovers as a pantry item so they show up as ready-to-eat options later in the week.
